I just cannot generate any real enthusiasm for Matt Fitzpatrick, who made the cut at the Masters yesterday. I have really enjoyed watching and rooting for Luke Donald, and hope to continue doing so for years to come. Unlike Luke, who won a NCAA title while at NU, graduated, and has been a supporter of NU ever since, Matt never won anything at NU and left early without graduating. Of course, AnnMargret left school when the Bye-Bye Birdie job came her way, and I still have a great fondness for her as an "alum". But she has been quick to help NU since she left, especially during the '95 Rose Bowl run. Do others feel the same way?
