Win their opener on the road against Wisconsin Green-Bay, a tournanemt team from a year ago, but scoring the final 10 points of the game to eek out a 57-55 victory. Trailing all of the second half vs. one of the best defensive teams in the country last year, they found themselves down by 8 with a little over 2 minutes to play, and Green Bay was still up by 5 with 1:27 to play and the ball, but freshman Sydney Wood hit a 3 pointer with just under a minute to play., Jordan Hamilton stole the inbounds and was fouled. She hit 1-2 to cut it to 1, we force a jump ball on the next possession (arrow to us) get fouled on the next possession, and Lindsey Pulliam (who otherwise has an off night, going 2-12 from the field) hit both free throws to put us ahead. Green Bay they had three chances to win it, including two layup attempts, but could not convert and Abi Schied (who also had a rough night, going 2-8 from the field) hit a final FT for the winning margin.

Pallas was amazing again, and pretty much kept us in the game single-handedly, when it seemed like no one on our team could score due to Green Bay's suffocating defense. Time after time, she just willed her way through multiple defenders, finishing with 17 points and 14 boards (the latter being more than half of our team total of 27) for yet another double-double. No one else scored in double figures as we shot only 36% and 26% from 3. Green Bay shot 8-14 from 3, outrebounded us 41-27, but we still somehow pulled out a tough win on the road. Nice start to the season!
