Man, these games are really good. Carolina couldn't score 50 on UVA, yet are over 80 already against Duke who are playing tough defense. Just a different level of play from any other rivalry.

UVA games are so boring I just don't even watch them anymore. Just not the brand of basketball that gets me excited one bit.

Wow, the ACC is strong this season. Wake Forest, which is a tourney bubble team and which beat both Louisville and Virginia Tech in the past week, is the #10 seed in the ACC tournament.

Looks like our Strength of Schedule, which was already good from a KenPom perspective, will now be quite impressive from a RPI perspecitve as well. with 6 top-25 RPI teams as it stands now, with Wake joining those 6 in the top-30.

Ohio State vs. Michigian in football is another huge rivalry.

Nothing beats DU-UNC for the on-court rivalry. Games are almost always close, over the history of the game each team has won about half. And nothing tops Auburn-Bama for fan hatred. The state of Alabama is divided into two camps, Bama supporters versus War Damn Eagle fans. And they truly hate each other. Michigan-OSU isn't much of a rivalry the last decade when OSU wins almost every game, and many of them aren't even close.

Fixed it for ya....
Indiana is 7-11 in conference play, with a RPI of 78. They're not a bubble team.

The ACC is much stronger than the Big Ten this season. That's not meant to take away from what Northwestern has accomplished or to argue against their being qualified for the NCAA tournament.

Dayton lost yesterday to GWU, although they still won the A10 regular season. They're a lock for the NCAA tourney, but it would still be nice if they'd win a few games in their conference tourney.

Dayton's RPI is 21, just one slot below Purdue. Tells you how bad RPI is as a measure of how good a team is, as Purdue beats Dayton by 10+ on a neutral site. In Kenpom, Dayton is at #34, one spot ahead of us at #35, which makes tons more sense.

Yes. RPI not too useful and very often quite misleading.
