Perhaps the SEC is a tad bit overrated?

Judging bowl and playoff results there may be just a wee bit of mythology at work in the ratings???

Well, unfortunately the B1G boosted them by going 1-3 against them with numbingly bad losses by Purdue and Michigan. Penn State losing against a team they should have beaten was the capper. Iowa actually was matched against a similarly-skilled team and did what they need to do to win. If Stanley had played that well against Penn State, Iowa probably wins that one. If I had to rate the conferences it would be, in order: SEC, BIG, Big 12, ACC and Pac12. ACC has Clemson, but their balance below that sucks, especially with Duke crippled by injuries. Syracuse did have a nice team. Big 12 doesn't play defense, or Oklahoma would have had a good shot against Alabama.

They did OK in bowls. 6-5 I think. Bama was good. Georgia too. Florida, LSU, Auburn, Kentucky, Mizzou, A&M all pretty good teams IMO.
