We had tons of chances to get the momentum in this game and fell so flat. Getting a score to start the 2nd half would've totally changed the complexion of the game and just failure to execute on that drive and every subsequent one led to this embarrassing rout. Justin Jackson was underutilized today but he was not up to his usual standards. Thorson was off target on many crucial passes but also had about 6 or 7 drops. The o-line lost many key battles in the trenches and did not block well in running or passing schemes. Can Thorson complete passes while rolling out? He hasn't shown much ability to do so but I can say right now that he needs that in his repertoire just like Siemien did last year or we will continue to struggle on offense. I figured we might struggle today but had no idea it would be this bad. Iowa is good but their defense is by no means the same quality as Michigan's and we made them look stellar today. Barf.

Our WRs are horrible and our punting game is horrible. When we can't run the ball, we are three and out leading to a frequently poor punt and poor resulting field position for a defense which plays a disproportionate amount of the time. Our time of possession and number of offensive plays per game has been awful the last two weeks. To expect CT to bail us out through the air is unrealistic at this stage of his career and with these WRs.

Well, that's pretty much dead nuts right on
