Preferred walk on's don't count in the scholarship count. Barring a monumental surprise, we should be done besides potential graduate transfers.
Correct, they don't count in the "scholarship" count. However, they indirectly count in that some will pan out and even start (Carr, Butler are the most recent examples). So they give us more competitive depth.
It would be interesting to see the %'s for PWO's that receive scholarships at NU vs NCAA.
My impression is that it's not out of the ordinary, and they are usually for only a few quarters. There are perhaps 10 walk-ons who quit after their freshman or sophomore year for every walk-on that eventually receives a scholarship.
Freakin Domers are so dumb. They thought they were getting two players when the "Black Swede" committed. Kelly blew his top when he found out that he had an extra schollie to give.
Well maybe, but the whole ikea was abbanormal anyway.
