We have a group coming in for the September 24 NU/Nebraska game. We have a RV that we would like to use if there is a decent spot to park it. We called the Athletics office to ask about their RV lot but they said we could not park it there. It's a 43-ft Monaco so it must be to big for the lot. They said no buses.

If you guys can help us out it would be greatly appreciated thanks!

There is a large lot at the Marriott in Northbrook at which I have seen bus sized RVs parked on game days. Not sure what the closest railway stop is from there but assume most just get a rental car to shuttle between the hotel and stadium.

RV, Bus & Other
Recreational Vehicle parking is $40/day and located in the MLS Lot on Northwestern’s campus. Take Sheridan Rd. to Lincoln Ave. and go east on Lincoln. Follow the road around to the RV lot. Overnight parking is permitted. For more information contact Northwestern Transportation & Parking Services at 847-491-7569. The RV lot is labeled Lot #2 (MLS) on the General Public Parking Map Above.

Not sure if this is current.

Pretty sure this is out of play with all the construction going on.

Actually if you're simply looking for a place to park it (as opposed to also having a drunken tailgate) you can park it behind the Evanston Civic Center. Big lot, fairly short walk to stadium.

Thanks everyone for the replies!
The University did say the RV lot was under construction and to call back at the end of August. Our hope is to be able to tailgate somewhere with the RV. Walking a mile or two is no big deal.

And we just found another example of why NU fans' bitching about not getting a west lot parking pass is ridiculous. NU fans who have to walk from the golf course lots (about a 0.3 mile walk according to Google Maps) threaten to completely pull support for the program (including donations, season tickets, etc.) while Nebraska fans are just looking for a spot "a mile or two" from the stadium after driving their RV to the game.

Good on you, Harms.

Just as FYI you'd likely be OK at Civic Center with sane beer drinking, drunken kegger party is another story.

This one has run its course.
