Good story on NU Sports about Matt Alviti. I didn't realize he played last season with torn right and left hip labrums (middle body injuries?). But Skip, you need to learn the difference between "effect" and "affect":

"Part of it, the reason why I didn't get the surgery, is I felt that I could still play and still compete," he says simply . "So, yeah, I'd say it effected me. But it didn't effect me a whole lot."

Skip is such a pro. I am sure that he only wrote it that way because that is the way Matt said it.

Jeez. Both labrums? I am surprised he could walk.

well, okay, whatever, but what isn't addressed: when did alviti suffer these injuries? did he arrive on campus with both hips already injured or just one of them or neither? that could potentially explain A LOT.

Possible that he blanked out or it might have been a typo. It's also a prime example of why you need to ready copy even when you've done a spellcheck.

No, but so what? You were correct on the grammar, but your critique was absurd.

What critique? Fitzphile said the article was good and that he didn't know the extent of Alviti's injuries.
