Tulane game

Anyone bought tickets yet, and if so what section? Do people know where the NU family group will be? I think a group of my friends and I are likely going to buy at a group rate through the Tulane ticket office. Probably targeting further back rows in the 100 level to try to have some shade in the event of the high probability of heat.

I bought a ticket several weeks ago near the 50 yard line and reserved an uptown hotel near Tulane. I am flying in Friday night and leaving Saturday night

I bought from Tulane. I will probably have dinner at Jacques IMO's and early breakfast at Brennan's (Eggs Owen's)

I was going to arrange a group to attend a friend of mine's New Orleans School of Cooking (NOSOC) but there has not been any interest expressed about NOLA. I recommend NOSOC if anyone is attending with their wives- you prepare basic creole dishes, have lunch while being entertained by the chef

I’ve made initial contact with the folks over at Port Orleans Brewery (Zach Streif’s place) with the intent of potentially hosting a Purple Purple on Friday night. I’m looking to schedule a call with them after July 4th. I’ll be trying to gauge interest as to who may be inclined to attend. Not sure as to any costs or minimums as of yet.

We have a group of 12 thus far. Not sure of plans Friday night but there’s a pretty good chance I can convince the folks to stop by for a burger and a beer or two.

And as an fyi for the group on tickets. I think we are going to buy in 103. This is prob gonna be across from the NU family section bc visitors is the other side, but it will have the benefit of overhang to protect from the sun due to lessons learned from the @Stanford game on LDW. There is a group rate for 20 tickets ($35 in that section) so we may have a few extra that we could share with other NU fans at cost. Also welcome / encourage any other purple that want to hop onto that section to bolster the cheering from that side.
