We have the talent, but not the killer instinct

The Young/Nance combo, and Young by himself, has to be seen in the context of the insane rotations Collins does, mostly in the first half of the games.

Young ends up playing 2 minutes with Nance. Ends up playing maybe another 2 with four bench players. The insanity of the complete second unit puts the onus of creating any offense almost solely on Young. The short stints on the floor put even more pressure on making something happen or I’m definitely not playing more than 10 minutes. There’s never any flow, any stability on the floor from the 15 minute mark. It’s all very bizarre. If it was working I’d accept arguments for it. But it’s not, and nothing changes. It’s stubborn. It’s pound the rock on insanity. On an idea of a roster that does not exist.

That's what a PG is supposed to do, run our offense and find us the best shot. But I trusted BMac's floater if the clock was winding down over the "layups" that our current guys keep missing.
Just to clarify, here's BMac's stats for his career in the last 5 minutes of 2nd half/OT vs the rest of the game:

The record does not bear out that Mac had a devastatingly effective floater in the clutch, however he was a significant 3-point threat at the end of games until his senior year that was marred by injury. As Hungry said, he was much more effective facilitating at the end of games vs being the shot taker.

That's not what I said and that's not what made him a great PG.

I didn't disagree.

That's what a PG is supposed to do, run our offense and find us the best shot.
I said that BMac was an elite PG, and pointed out precisely what a PG is supposed to do.

But I still trust BMac's floater (and 3-pointers, for that matter), if the clock is winding down, over what any of our current roster would chuck up in the same situation.

But BMac excelled at finding us the best shot, because that's what a good PG is supposed to do.
