Cats are cookin' with gas in the NCAA tournament. They lead other B1G teams Oregon, UCLA and USC, plus MSU and PU who didn't make the final day cut. Great season for the Women.

Cats are cookin' with gas in the NCAA tournament. They lead other B1G teams Oregon, UCLA and USC, plus MSU and PU who didn't make the final day cut. Great season for the Women.

Lady Cats have a monumental meltdown in round 4 today to finish tied for 11th out of 16 teams. Team was +9 over the first 3 rounds, but posted +21 today — 24 shots worse than their opening round 285.

Lots of double and triple bogeys dotting the scorecards. One of the gals had to sign for a 9 on a par 4. Another was +5 after her 1st 2 holes.

Anybody with some insight into what would account for such a colossal collapse?

Tough outing but still a great year. Teams feed off each other and in this case buit negative momentum. A bad start is hard to over come in a high stress round.
