The Evanston City Council is voting tonight on whether to allow limited for-profit events at Welsh-Ryan. The alcohol question may also be up for a vote. Last meeting NU pulled its proposal (and have since amended it) based on fierce objections from Ryan Field neighbors. Personally, I have no interest in alcohol sales during the game. There is plenty to be had during pre- and post-game tailgates and who needs drunk Ohio Staters picking fights?
