Collins won't. He almost did that once after the Gonzaga screw job, but stopped short. He'll just continue playing the "nice guy" act with Big Ten officials...Anybody know when and where we can watch it? Hopefully he is lighting up the officials.
But what if the shot is blocked before the rim is touched?I think the rule is if the ball is in the air any touching of the rim is auto goal tending.
I think the rule is if the ball is in the air in the cylinder any touching of the rim is auto goal tending.I thought that at first as well, but if Leach's shot was blocked (as they called after the review), is it still possible for #14 to goal tend?
Not trying to be contrarian, but honestly don't know the correct call there. I think it might be a loose ball after the blocked shot?
He doesn't dare. That said I am sure that tape will be sent to the supervisor of BIG officials. But at this point an appology is likely all they can getAnybody know when and where we can watch it? Hopefully he is lighting up the officials.

Let’s forget the ridiculous no call on the REAL goaltend earlier.
Bit on the final play-
They messed up the play by calling a goaltend when they didn’t see one.
On the review-
BB had already released the ball when the whistle blew.
They also missed #14 hitting the rim with his arm which should have been a goaltend.
So they missed that call several different ways.made mistake of rewatching the play-

Yes, and it could be 9-5/0-3. I'd rather have the IL win than the PSU win.We could very easily be 12-2/2-1 and ranked right now were it not for some horrible late game officiating.
Clawson's formula for success was similar to Fitz's and just does not work as well in the era of NIL and the portal. He'll need to adjust and it might be easier to do that with a team in the Big Ten where resources ($$$) are more plentiful than in the ACC.
Please retract that Mike Tomlin vibe. I got big time Matt Eberflus vibe on that last drive. Bears have the Worst NFL coaching I can remember.
Refs have not really been our friends this year, They have decided more than one game against us. at the end of gamesMe too. It actually bothers my other NU fan friends/family how much I won’t get down on refs for calls and their impact on a game. I have a reputation in the group of being that guy.
But this game truly was decided by the refs. And it’s too bad, cause it could have been a great game without them stealing the show with so many one-sided bad calls.

In the second half, it took all of four and a half minutes for them to get in the bonus. They were in the double bonus within seven minutes and 15 seconds. It was even worse if you saw the whole game, PSU was in the double bonus in the first half in the first 8 minutes. They were in the bonus very quickly in second half too. And we had 3 fouls on Barnhizer, Leach, and 3 on Berry quickly changing complexion of the game early. Luckily our Frosh came in and were not phased (though they had them in foul trouble as well.
I rarely say this, but the refs really did decide the game with their poor officiatingTwo hands on Matt pushing him out off bounds no call after the goaltend debacle. Sucks when refs impact a game like that.
But it is a road gameMy computer algorithm is telling me PSU 72 NU 68...
Torvik says PSU 73 NU 70
NU has played a few games without Barnhizer, so we're better than our rating....
So I'll go NU 71 PSU 70
But the little voice in my head is laughing "You know its a bad matchup! Don't be such a homer..."
He is a career 45% FT shooter who banked one in earlier in the game. It’s the smart playThey're not going to intentionally foul with a 2 point lead.
Don't forget the Goal Tending No Call earlier in the gameSetting aside the insane phantom whistle/stolen bucket and the missed obvious foul at the end, Penn State scored 43% of its point total from free throws. They had 45 FTs awarded. That is egregious.
