Thinking of NIL, the changing landscape of college football ... and Kain Colter

Folks who have a problem with what Kain did should have a bigger problem how he tried implementing change rather than the change he aimed for.
I think that's fair.
Unfortunately, I think there was a lot of CYOA in that situation. To think these guys are anything but employees of the school in a multi-billion dollar enterprise is probably living in the 1950s. Waiting until it was too late to come up with a workable framework that kept most of what we enjoy intact with a sensible solution is no longer in the cards, I'm afraid.

Bowl games

Deboer will be on the hotseat if this keeps up. Bama was a double digit favorite against a depleted Michigan team. Then Michigan's only throwing quarterback got hurt and still Alabama could not pull it out. Love it. Congrats, Sherron Moore. What a finish by the Wolverines this year AGAINST ALL ODDS. Does not make our blowout loss to them look so bad either.

Bowl games

Oops Michigan probably gonna lose this game as they let too much time and didn’t try enough to get a first down on their last drive. There was too much time left to just RUTM 3 times. Should have done a sweep or screen pass or something .

Impressive defensive stand after getting gashed down the field. Apparently a number of Mich defensive stars out too.

Deboer should’ve stayed at Washington and kept building. I think Saban anticipated that Bama would not be as dominant with NIL and revenue sharing allowing other programs to buy talent.
