Coral, as much as I would like to, my spouse has been dealing with a long term health debilitation the last few years. As pensioners, we needed to cut a number of items from our budget, including almost all our publication sbscriptions, including this one, in order to allocate some funds for home support.

I certainly would encourage those who have the flexibility to subscribe to do so. Matt and Lou do a great job and deserve the support. In the meantime, I will try to respectfully contribute to the community from the cheap seats. ( Go Cats).

Connor Stallions back on his feet:

defensive coordinator on a high school team?
How many times did a bus run over him before that job was offered?

OT: Victor Wembanyama is very tall, and very good.

Maybe so, but having grown up in the era and seeing dozens of games on TV from both, it was very clear MJ was a better prospect. You didn’t need to be Red Auerbach to see that. Clyde and MJ could have worked together because they were two of the best talents ever.
Again it was a different time and center was what they needed. As far as them working together, there is only one ball so not so likely. Now days they might have traded down to get more assets

"Due to Finkel's age (22), after his sophomore year he was eligible for the 1964 NBA draft and was chosen in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Lakers, but he chose to remain in school.[12] He was selected again in the 1965 NBA draft, again in the fourth round, by the Philadelphia 76ers, but he returned to Dayton for his senior year.[13]"

Yah, they had 4 rounds. Would seem like a reasonable decision to forgo being a 4th round pick

WLP Big Ten Summer Previews - Iowa

This stupid-ass Iowa team...

This team was an illegal fair catch away from winning 11 games last year...and their average game score was a 15-15 tie.

Iowa somehow looked at the 2022 Brian Ferentz offense and said, "We can suck worse than this." And they did.

AND YET. On the strength of yet another generational defense and an insanely good special teams unit, Iowa got it done.

And guess what? The offense is probably gonna still be lousy even with NepoBrian gone, the specials will be worse...

...and Iowa STILL will have an unreal defense and, thanks to what qualifies as a cupcake schedule in the new Big Ten, is STILL probably looking at 9 wins, MINIMUM.

We repeat: This stupid-ass Iowa team.
