Cats land 2025 Rivals150 point guard Jake West

At the risk of completely turning this thread to Purdue, I had to chuckle when I saw that Zach Edey fouled out in 15 minutes in his NBA debut last night. This ain't college kid. That slow, plodding crap won't cut it at the next level.

Gonna take a wild guess that the fouls were largely bs.
Its the NBA. If you're in the club you can draw a foul on every play.

Recruiting Braun vs. 51

Anybody remember when OL was our strength??? And who were the coaches at the time???

OL are often big, smart guys - perfect for NU. Unless you have terrible position coach and a HC that believes offense is a necessary evil of playing football and values only slightly higher than K.
Yup. Under GB and RW. Fitz just lived in the Stone Age and held us back. It doesn’t matter if you recruit well on defense when you can’t score on offense - unless you’re going to get 2 defensive TDs a game (very unlikely).

Who will be second in scoring this year?

My guess without knowing would be that Torvik tries to predict the difficulty of transferring up. Last year Leach played in the 25th-best conference with an SOS of 309. He only played two games against what Kenpom considers top 100 competition adjusted for location and averaged 9.5 points, 1 assist, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 turnovers in 29 mpg, including shooting 1-9 from 3. Last year was also a breakout year for him after not showing much previously in his career.

I will be optimistic, but I also remember Ryan Taylor.
Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Still (fair or not), he'll have very big shoes to fill, so I would expect NU will give him every opportunity to score. He's far more likely to be replacing Langborg's production (which wasn't bad) than Boo's.
