FOOTBALL Why Lausch's move to baseball is a win-win-win

Jack Lausch started 10 games of the 2024 season at quarterback and Northwestern announced he'll be playing this spring season for the baseball team in the outfield, too. @lou v breaks down what Lausch's reemergence as a two-sport athlete means for him, Northwestern football and the future.

Kafka coaching lead in the 2025 Senior Bowl

Kafka will be the lead in coaching the National squad in the 2025 Senior Bowl.

“The 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl has its coaching staffs lined up.
Cleveland Browns special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone and New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka were announced Wednesday as the head coaches for the American and National squads, respectively.
"We're excited to be getting two outstanding coaches with such great reputations leading our teams this year," Reese's Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy said in a statement. "I was part of the Patriots scouting staff that drafted Bubba Ventrone back in 2005 so I know how smart and competitive he is. Mike Kafka has already had numerous head coaching interviews over the past couple hiring cycles and many people I've talked to around the league believe it's only a matter time before he gets one of those jobs. Our players will leave Mobile as better players than when they arrived after spending the week with these two men and their respective staffs."

CONFIRMED: Lakefront Temporary Stadium is a GO

NU just put this out. Whoa. Most football games will be on the lakefront for the next two seasons. Details still scant:

OT: Indiana OSU

While I think OSU will win this by 10 or so, I think this is one of the most intriguing B1G games in years. I would love to see Indiana win, and would particularly enjoy seeing OSU, Michigan and PSU all shut out of the title game after all the whining their fan bases did about the West Division having a team in that game before the great chaos was instituted this year.
