    Actually the judge ruled in Shannon's case he does have a right to play and a property interest protected by the 14th amendment. A lesser player not earning NIL or having significant draft prospects probably wouldn't have received the same result.

    How did our program fall apart?

    My Illini opinion is you never seemed to find the replacement for McIntosh. Same problem Groce had at Illinois, couldn't find his PG and it's tough to win without one. Plus unless you're a Duke or Kentucky, all it takes is a few bad breaks for things to slip. And even moreso when you're NW.

    Eventually but certainly not this year. Thought we'd take a step back on defense since we lost quite a few good, experienced guys. Instead we've actually improved.
