Signing up is really easy. All you need to provide is identifying info, an email address, and a cheek swab sample. You can also sign up when donating blood. Only ~1/430 donors end up actually donating bone marrow, but you may be the only match for a patient who's in need.
 
Proud that he is an Alumnus of NU! A worthy cause. Consider joining if you're between the ages of 18 and 60.

This is a great cause & organization. Kudos to Austin for donating. I registered after I saw a presentation by them a few years ago.

A few years ago a D3 track & field guy sacrificed his senior season to be a marrow donor for a cancer patient in need. Both he and his coach considered it a no-brainer and the stories of lives being saved are heartwarming.
 
Former Chicago Cub and Villanova standout football player, Matt Szczur , made a similar bone marrow donation during his senior year, saving a young girls life. God bless these amazing young men. .

Just be sure you manage email preferences. I left them open in case they needed to contact me and got dozens of blah blah blah emails until I finally had to unsubscribe
