He will start and play most of the first half if he does well. A good performance would pretty much guarantee that he will be the Bronco's starter for the regular season. The only live TV will be on local Denver TV and some Rams affiliates. The game is a 6PM PT. It will be available on replay on the NFL network at 9:00 PT, that's 11PM in the midwest. The Bronco radio broadcast will also be streamed live for those who can't wait to see how he does. I'm really excited about seeing an NU guy as the starter for the returning SB champions! Denver looks good this year. There are also Rams broadcasts , but I'd like to hear what the homers think of TS.

The above radio link didn't work for me. I found another one that does work.

After a slow start, and an interception, TS leads the team downfield and throws a TD to put Denver up 7-6.

Took me a long time and three devices to find a working internet radio stream....glad I was able to hear the play.

Trevor is slated to play the entire first half (Lynch the second half). The Broncos game plan for the first quarter was all handoffs to the RBs; only at the very end of the first quarter did TS get off a couple of incompletions, then a completion. Second quarter, coaches called more passes with mixed results; his throws look beautiful in the air, but one was a touch high and the receivers just dropped a couple. Meanwhile, Rams scored two FGs. One interception thrown into double coverage that was called a catch but it did look like the Ram defender used the ground to "catch" it. Next series, Trevor moved the team to inside the ten and had a very nice fake handoff, then hit the receiver in the end zone. Jared Goff came in for the Rams early in the second. Jared is completing some nice passes too, had two interceptions dropped by the Broncos D. His own receivers weren't doing him any favors either.
With 30 seconds to go in the half, Trevor threw a 43-yard pass to Demarius Thomas who caught it with one hand. Nice.

end of the first half, Denver 10, LA Rams 9.
Rams QBs, Keenum 8/12, 77 yards; Goff 3/8 for 38 yards
Trevor 10/17 for 122 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Kubiak just said he's not sure who starts the second half, but when there is a change, it'll be Lynch in next. All the pregame noise is that Sanchez may be done as a Bronco, or maybe they release him and then sign him for less money as a backup.

Edit: Lynch starts the second half

I was at the game. People genuinely excited about Siemian's upside, though the prevailing belief is that Lynch is the long term answer. Sanchez done as a Bronco - didn't see a snap tonight! Will be interesting to see who they bring in as an emergency quarterback.

I'm reminded of "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell - man did Trevor find himself in the right place at the right time. Wow.

Kudos to Kubiak and Denver for seeing in Siemian what all the other NFL teams did not. A strong arm and teachable mind. I do think he is a temporary choice until Lynch is ready but he beat out Sanchez so maybe he stays the starter. It's an idea situation where he is not expected to throw for 400+ yards per game. He appears to have learned to get the ball out fast and that will make him an efficient starter. It's also good to note he and Thorson have a good relationship. He has been passing to Thorson things he has learn from Peyton Manning. That can only help Thorson in commanding our offense.

The NFL network has a show called "Look-In", I believe which looks at numerous games, including those in progress. TS game was one of them, and the announcers were complimentary. But you could see the game in real time. They also told you when the game would be re-telecast so I taped it as well. yes, TS looked calm and collected throughout the game with no obvious problems with his shoulder. I'm sure he was told not to tackle anyone. It will be great if he starts the season, and, who knows, continues in this position. The better he plays the more secure will be his future at either Denver or somewhere else.
