We've got a REALLY full house tonight. Seats are full (except for student section still filling in) and even press row is packed. It took me about three times longer to park tonight than normally because the lines were so long. Welsh-Ryan is going to be electric tonight. There's some black-and-yellow in the crowd, too, as expected.

Wow!! We're hitting on all cylinders. Fun to watch!

I've been hard on BMac since the ND game...because I know that he can play so much better. He is absolutely killing it this half. This first half has been as incredible as his second half was against Wake Forest. I want to see more of this! Keep it going BMac!!!

BMac is smoking: 6-7 from the floor for 13 points. He really needed a night like this one.

Love all the bounce passes tonight, too.

BMac is a seasoned junior at home matched up against a freshman on the road. He is playing with confidence and schooling Bohannon. There were certainly guards around the B1G that did the same thing to BMac when he was starting as a freshman. BMac needs to play with this same confidence and control all the time!

This is the BMac we know and expect. Hope he keeps bringing it in the second half.

Bmac looks like an All Big Ten guard to me! He passes sensationally also! I like Brown breaking the press also. Brown has legit speed! Law is not getting caught by those picks and is playing their stud guard very tight! Skelly has some much needed muscle inside! Wear these guys down!

So far so good. This is the BMac we know and love. The transition play has been the difference maker so far this game, generating turnovers and getting easy shots. We have a little bit of a foul situation developing so hopefully we can avoid any ticky tacky fouls in the second half; I still like that we're forcing Iowa to make them from the line though, they're not a great FT shooting team.

The student section looked great tonight on TV. Several shots of Clayton Thorson, Justin Jackson and several other football players up near the front. Plus, some students had cardboard cutout heads of famous NU alums, and when Hall came in at the end, the camera caught a few seconds of his mom's head bobbing up and down. That was funny.

First game this year so hard to compare, but much louder than previous years. We jumped on them and barely heard any black and gold in the crowd and I was right behind the Iowa bench.

Students did their job and it felt like it was 80% Purple.

The student section was great. The final chant of " just like football" really frosted them, but most Hawk fans left with about 5 minutes to go.

Clayton, JJ and the rest of the football players there were under the much quieter of the student sections.

Most enjoyable home win of the season. Jok was the leading Big 10 scorer and he scored maybe 4-6 points as Law hounded him. What a difference to have an all-around player like Vic Law on the floor for 30-35 minutes a game. Team was tenacious. Lindsey and Mac played lights out tonight. Pardon is an anchor. Skelly played with great energy and fire. Lumpkin played well. Iowa fans were waiting for the comeback. Totally underestimated the cats. Loved the way the 'cats answered the small runs that Iowa had with steals, transition dunks and clutch three point shooting. Would have like to see Ash and Benson get more minutes. We will need Benson against Purdue and Indiana who play with two bIg guys.

15-4 and 4-2 in the Big 10 with 2 4-star forwards who are redshirting in Falzon and Rapolas is not too shabby.

More dunks by a NU team in a Big 10 game in the 35 plus seasons of watching this team. We are in a great ride for the next 12 games in the regular season.

Purdue fan here, that's a fine job done by the Wildcats!

I must admit that I missed most of the game and turned it on when there was only about 2 minutes left. Did the Wildcats play man-to-man D the entire game or did Collins switch it up from time to time?

I think it was all man, but it's possible I'm forgetting a possession or two.

Thanks, I was just curious because Iowa made Purdue's man D (which Painter stubbornly plays the entire game of every single game: he's like Gene Keady 2.0 in that regard) look like crap on Thursday night.

That will be tough to replicate but that's an awesome showing for your team.
