Marquette hosting a nice tournament at the future site of the US Open at Erin Hills. Steve Bailey-- Marquette head coach-- is of course the former long-time assistant to Pat Goss and one hell of a nice guy (and my son's first golf teacher). 'Cats are in third after the first round despite Jack Perry having a poor round at the #1 position. Good to see the other guys (other than stud Matt Fitzpatrick) contribute. Bennett Lavin and Matt Negri both went even par on the first day. A good, tough field including Stanford, UCLA, SMU, and Oklahoma. Good start today!
