OT: Coaching Changes

Re CU and Tucker, it's amazing how quickly Buff fans forget what that program was until a few years ago. Yes, McEntire lost some games they were supposed to win this year. But, he was by far the best coach with best results since GB more than 10 years ago. They were in the Pac 12 CCG 2 years ago. Durrell, Hawkins and can't even recall name of the guy right before McEntire, were all train wrecks. SMH.

Evangelicals have, erm, um, eh, changed their opinions on call girls and bribery in the last, ummm, three years or so.

Make Liberty great again, you know?

It’s official, Tucker to Colorado.

Thank goodness we have Fitz.

There’s more rumblings in my neck of the woods that GB is looking at him. Word is out Harbaugh or Shaw is a target but I think it’s our coach. But, Paterno spurned the Pats and other pro teams so maybe Fitzgerald will stay put. It will be fascinating to watch. Either way you don’t fire an NFL coach before December without an eye toward hiring somebody not in the NFL. Well unless you’re the Browns and you have no clue what you’re doing. This is the Pack we are talking about and they have a good idea what they’re doing. Let’s hope it’s Shaw.

Browns have won 5 times as many games as the previous 2 years combined

North Dakota State Head Coach now K-State HC
The fact that Fitz's name is being thrown around is a good thing. Good for recruiting and perhaps a bump in salary. I assume that is why he has not come out and said "no" publicly. Post the bowl game if we still hear silence I would be concerned.

The bar could not have been any lower. Team is way better, sure, but they did not fire their coach because they wanted to focus on college coaches, whom they can interview during December. That's why GB did what they did. They're looking at college coaches first.

GB did what they did because the last couple months would have been awful for McCarthy and Rodgers had they waited until after the season.

Of course they’re looking at college coaches right now. They’re the only ones available to interview.

While there are plenty of NU ties in Green Bay, still don’t see how the move would make sense on either side. Fitz just got his facilities and is coming off a west title. GB needs someone who can build an offense around Rodgers, not a defensive-minded CEO coach.

Also think NFL teams are looking for creative offensive guys.....or disciples of the good offensive guys.....especially in Green Bay where they need to also make Aaron Rogers happy and gromm a new guy.....Rogers is 35.....Just does not seem like a Fitz guy....It really is a different league

Are you saying Aaron Rodgers would not benefit from the tutelage from an ace OC like Mick McCall? :)

I realize I may be in the minority here...but I think McCall has done a good job of taking patches, pieces and threads and making a quilt over the past years.

Dang. Mark Richt “retires” from The U.

“thank u, next”

Miami looked terrible the other night. I am not surprised. I wonder if Butler Grad Transfer Tommy Kennedy can/will now reconsider his decision to go to Miami?
