Stanford has seen four graduate transfers this offseason, which is interesting. They'll be thinner on defense than they have been for a while, but should still be a tough opener. It should be an early test of our physicality, which has been lacking the past couple of years.

I get the impression that most grad transfer do so because they're looking at a decrease in playing time and would rather go somewhere and be the starter.

Stanford will be a huge challenge. NU will be breaking in a new QB while Stanford is a veteran team with an experienced QB. Look for the Cats to be a pretty big underdog.

Wow. Young (RB), Lyons (S), and Reiner (G) were all high four-star ranked recruits, while three star Skov (LB) was basically recruited by everybody.

Then there were a couple Stanford early declarants for the NFL draft: Andrus Peat (5* OT) and Alex Carter (5* S).

Nice depth.
