So, who do you despise more…

I'm not ordinarily an OSU fan but I find Day to be likeable, and the OSU fandom was utterly outraged after the Michigan loss (as would be expected), so I appreciate that they didn't fold up and here they are in the final, and gotta pull for the Big10.

Interesting to me that none of the 4 finalists has a quarterback I think will be an NFL starter. In the two games, both the offensive and defensive line play was pretty tenacious most of the time with the possible exception of a weakened ND line in its first half. All 4 have terrific backs and serious hitters in the secondary. So a couple of great games that didn't revolve around big downfield passing games.
If you want to win in college football, you must have a QB who can throw it downfield. Penn St had a fine team, but their number came up vs ND when their downfield passing game got neutered.

Saints request interview with Mike Kafka for head coaching position

I've been following the Bears' interview process and it seems like all the initial interviews are virtual so far including Mike Vrabel.

New league rules to create a level playing field for coaches who are still coaching in the playoffs. Virtual only up to a certain date unless a coach is not employed by a current NFL team (i.e. Vrabel).

How a phone call from LaMarcus Hicks made Fred Davis II a Wildcat

Here's my story on Northwestern's newest Wildcat.

Answers a lot of questions about him. Nice article and I am excited to see him play.

OSU-Texas: Texas drive to the 1yd line play sequence

After back-to-back pass interference calls by the Bucks brought the ball to near the goal line you have to believe the Longhorns have to score to put the game into OT potentially. A drive up the middle on 1st and goal fails. But the game changer was the questionable 2nd and goal sweep that ended with a disastrous loss to the 8. What a call. Give credit to the Bucks for their goal line stand and outstanding defense on that particular play. That is one call that Sark wishes he had back. Great defense by OSU ending with the strip, scoop and score.
Hobsons choice between the Domers and Buckeyes. I think I dislike ND more and also think the Bucks deserve the championship
esp the way they have dominated in the playoffs. BTW- the playoff system needs to be revised. Hope they fix the format by next year. They also need to do away with 1st round byes for conference winner.

Saints request interview with Mike Kafka for head coaching position

Saw this article about Kafka’s interview with the Saints. The article said the interview was “virtual” so wonder how serious the Saints interest is. Hope Kafka finds a new coaching position somewhere to get away from the mess that are NY Giants.

Parking Sunday

This is why Evanston sucks. I parked on the street three blocks from Mackey Arena this past Sunday with no issues. If you don't want people parking in front of your house during basketball and football games, don't buy a house close to the stadium!
It is not just Evanston. Wilmette pulls the same crap of banning parking on game days. All made worse by the loss of a lot
