If you want to win in college football, you must have a QB who can throw it downfield. Penn St had a fine team, but their number came up vs ND when their downfield passing game got neutered.I'm not ordinarily an OSU fan but I find Day to be likeable, and the OSU fandom was utterly outraged after the Michigan loss (as would be expected), so I appreciate that they didn't fold up and here they are in the final, and gotta pull for the Big10.
Interesting to me that none of the 4 finalists has a quarterback I think will be an NFL starter. In the two games, both the offensive and defensive line play was pretty tenacious most of the time with the possible exception of a weakened ND line in its first half. All 4 have terrific backs and serious hitters in the secondary. So a couple of great games that didn't revolve around big downfield passing games.
I thought the very same thing.Sort of reminded me of the Duke game.
I've been following the Bears' interview process and it seems like all the initial interviews are virtual so far including Mike Vrabel.
Answers a lot of questions about him. Nice article and I am excited to see him play.

Sort of reminded me of the Duke game. But the game changer was the questionable 2nd and goal sweep that ended with a disastrous loss to the 8.
Saw this article about Kafka’s interview with the Saints. The article said the interview was “virtual” so wonder how serious the Saints interest is. Hope Kafka finds a new coaching position somewhere to get away from the mess that are NY Giants.
Saints complete interview with another coaching candidate. Here's who it was with.

It is not just Evanston. Wilmette pulls the same crap of banning parking on game days. All made worse by the loss of a lotThis is why Evanston sucks. I parked on the street three blocks from Mackey Arena this past Sunday with no issues. If you don't want people parking in front of your house during basketball and football games, don't buy a house close to the stadium!
