Be it known to all men . . . . .

Wish I’d been able to connect. We’ll have to do that at some point.

Aaargh, we arrived late and missed the early 20-0 run. Dang you, Central Ave. traffic jam. 🤨
NU oversold the parking again, Supposedly they were not going to do that, I had bout the annual pass and even had an extra pass and could not get in. And this is after they raised the price by about 70%. So we missed the start as well. I had actually figured what was happening when I saw the traffic jam and went to one of my secret back up spots and good thing I did because when I went by the lot it was shut down

Yep, my school didn’t fare well Friday night. Fun, great year that didn’t see coming. Luckily I did not fork out the $500 to freeze while tailgating all day, then at game. One of my sons did though and had a great experience with many of his friends, other than the game result.

Rourke giving the momentum right back on the pick into double coverage at the 2, right after IU picked off Leonard was a buzz kill. Then immediately followed by the worse blow, the 98 yard TD run. After that, the D wasn’t bad, having to stay out there all night cuz the O did nothing.

Will be interesting to see if and when they expand this thing to 14, or even 16 teams? After the first 4 games, where other than maybe Clemson for a half, was competitive, I don’t see a compelling argument to do so anytime soon.

Oh, and in IU Portal News, back-up QB Tayven Jackson did jump in yesterday. Good arm, good wheels, but a bit mechanical. The word is not a good reader of coverage or adept enough in RPO reads. Should have 2 years left. No inside info, but some think might follow the QB coach, who just got the UCLA OC gig. I think more like Sun Belt, or AAC would be a better fit for a PT in his next stop. Hoping the Mendoza buzz to IU will be accurate.
Genuinely great season by you guys though. Kicking off the playoff era in Indiana.

Should have been a 6 team playoff

Top two get byes. Next four play in to get to the semi’s. All games on campus at higher seed.

Six was the right number. Regular season still has tremendous value and other bowls maintain a little bit of value.

It was never about a 10th or 12th ranked team winning it all… the winner will be Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia, or Texas A 12 team playoff is asinine. Eight at the most, but six was ideal. 12 jumped the shark in the name of $$$$$

While I am at it, conference championship games need to go away. Regular season champions get the automatic bid. Eliminating conference championship games would get rid of a Clemson situation where a team backdoors into the playoff and would also get rid of a situation where teams like Texas and UGA could play a 3rd time.
I have always been on the 6 team bandwagon, but it’s never been even a small possibility. So much money was made last weekend. But it would be the best by far.

This is why this game is great for both programs. Glad to hear the two coaches want to continue it indefinitely. DePaul finally got another good coach in Holtman. They will win some Big East games this year. Trounced a pretty good Wichita State team with a blizzard of threes a week or so ago. Collins and Lowery really had the defenders aware of that threat!

Good win…and a few concerns

Couldn't agree more. Yet they're getting these massive TV deals, paying outlandish salaries . . . . . so somebody's watching. Despite being mired in mediocrity for years, the Bulls pretty much pack the largest arena in the NBA night after night . . . . . I pull for the Bulls, but I just don't get it. I'd almost rather go to the dentist than watch the NBA.
The athleticism on display is remarkable, but I could just as easily watch Ninja Warrior or Battle of the Network Stars for that.

After watching some of the Knicks v Pelicans last night, I’m not so sure. All they do in the NBA is jack up 3s or go 5 out and run iso. It’s an awful game to watch nowadays.
