CFP Talk

Oregon, OSU, PSU and ND are the “cream of the class”, as Dan Hampton would say. Georgia is diminished without Beck. Texas is close but not quite there. The rest of the field is a sizable step down.

I think OSU and ND make the final. Could easily be Oregon but it’s hard to beat a team twice, and OSU was right there a few months ago vs the Ducks.

Free throws

His stroke was awful to start the year( (had two straight airballs in EIU game, and I think and was 0-for-his first 6 this year) but it has improved. Too late to do anything about it this season. BTW, Illini beat Mizzu by 3, making 23 of 24 from the line while the Tigers missed 9 or 10 of theirs. The danger of his foul shooting problens really raises its head at the end of close games when you want him in there especially for defense.

Good win…and a few concerns

These are must win nonconference games and DePaul was threatening to make that game dangerously close, especially with their three point shooting ability, so I can understand why Collins didn't sub in the Frosh except for KJ midway through the first half. In the age of the trans fer, college hoops has become a game of "olds" so unless Freshmen are five stars like Rutgers and Duke has, not many are getting to play.

Gray’s commitment was announced over a week ago. NU fans should be very happy, he’s a massive dude who fills the gap at RT.
