His best path if he plays in US (drafted or not) will be to have a good showing at Las Vegas Summer League and get a two-way deal. He would get g-league experience and be able to play up to 50 games in NBA. And it makes just short of $600k. Next best route is getting an exhibit 10 deal which basically is a non-guaranteed deal to be on a preseason NBA roster. They usually are immediately cut but the player gets a $75k bonus to play for their g-league team. Frequently, a good showing in g-league leads to a two-way spot. This is the route Buie took and it eventually led to a two-way deal with Knicks. Non-US is an option to especially for more money in the near term. Former Illini C Kofi Cockburn went (after a disastrous summer league) this route to Japan and now Korea. He makes good money and puts monster numbers against smaller and less skilled competition. These things are dumb, but they have Brooks going at #59 to my Cleveland Cavaliers......
2025 NBA mock draft: After Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper, a whole lot of questions
All told, this is not shaping up to be the monstrous class that was projected in some corners.www.nytimes.com

That’s right PPD! Go Irish ☘️Every fanbase has knuckleheads. Being from Chicagoland, I have probably been to 20 games in South Bend. I have never once seen opposing fans taking abuse there. I was wearing my NU gear for the Brian Kelly mismanaged debacle. If there every was a game to leave pissed as a ND fan, this qualifies. No issues at all. There are B1G schools where you getting treated NU much worse. At Wisconsin, I fear for my life sometimes!
I believe they get a lot of hate for a high percentage of over the top subway fans. They can be very vocal, with their only affiliation being Irish or Catholic. The admissions selectivity causes the perception of arrogance. Hey, but how is that different than NU? Been around graduates from both schools that give off this aura.
I know most don’t agree with this, but I was happy ND sent James home. Let’s see who he blames for this loss. I haven’t been to PSU, but their fans coming to NU can certainly be knuckleheads too with their dancing and taunting while Franklin throws unnecessary bombs to run up the score.

At Wisconsin, I fear for my life sometimes! The first time I went to a game at Notre Dame many years ago, I was cheering for the opponent. The ND fans were very nice to me. I went twice to cheer for Northwestern against ND. Again the Irish fans were great even after NU won. I have gone to scores of other ND games because my son went there. I have yet to find the arrogance that everyone attributes to the Irish faithful. I am bewildered by the hatred. Just because some of you might work with a couple Notre Dame a-holes hardly makes you experts on the fan base. My guess is some of you go at them with several chips on both shoulders. The knock on ND fans is baseless. Maybe the problem is not them. I write this because I’ve encountered undeserved belligerence from folks who go at me simply because I'm wearing ND gear. Physician, heal thyself.
One down.Hope both B1G teams get their asses kicked!
Nice post st paul. Keep up the good work here on the free boardNorthwestern in many respects is not that different from ND. Founded 10 years apart, in the Midwest, similar enrollments, private research institutions, both ladies of a lake. Except for the Catholic thing, but NU is firmly Methodist (just walk around Evanston), who just happened not to have a Vatican. At the turn of the 19th Century, NU clearly had the superior football team. Then something happened--Knute Rockne, the four horsemen, etc. for 13 years in the 1920's. This took hold on the American psyche, and led to a century of ND football pomposity (keeping in mind the Vatican). But NU still has a chance. Never forget, "It's all right, it's okay, you will work for us some day." If NU ever gets great at football again, we will own pomposity.
