From what I remember seeing traveling in and out of State College is a nightmare for visitors. Going down to Purdue not so bad but the PSU trip really takes it out of the players

He probably hits it well enough in practice and they want him to continue to attempt it thinking it will add a dimension and make it more difficult to defend allowing openings for others

CCC clearly said Jello and KJ were not in the rotation because they were not quite there defensively. He also said they are improving in that aspect and that is why they are seeing more action.

Defense has also been the table stakes for playing with CCC, even before the Wizard was hired as our main defensive voice. Do I think Jello is a good defender now, No. Do I think he will be a good defender, Yes. Do I think KJ is a good defender now, No. Do I think he is a good defender, Yes. This has played out with almost all first year players. Nick was a poor defender, now he is decent. Berry and Barney too. Even Big Matt was poor on defense his first year, now he is elite.

Who was he going to sit when we were down? Berry wasn’t contributing and Big Matt isn’t going to bring you back from 25 down. I am sure he would have been in there if we cut the lead but we didn’t. Someone goes to bench when Jello and KJ play. Leach was scoring some and our two forwards are the best scores on the team by a country mile!

What you said about Ciaravino getting an open look whenever he wanted to was exactly my observation. That is a rarity against top tier competition and we should exploit that given he's shown he can shoot. He's also bouncy getting numerous put backs at the rim. This team can use whatever cheap points it can find.

He was supposed to play today but injured his knee during warmups so didn’t play. Chargers are coasting to a win anyway over the Raiders.
QB Herbert from Oregon is having a solid season, the offense scored on 7 possessions today.. Subs have stepped up today. Hopefully Rashawn will be healthy enough to start against Houston. Defense has been playing well. Solid regular season for the Chargers under Harbaugh.

It probably depends on NFL matchups that will be announced tomorrow. Game will probably be on CBS or FOX before or after their playoff game.

Baby was rattled today. Too much pressure playing back home. Not sure if we even played our best that we win today. Perdue was on. Flush this one.

Gelo had 19 pts (8-14) in 21 minutes.

Today's game was a blueprint for other teams (without PSU's athleticism) for defending our top 2 scorers. We have to adjust. Berry has to start making shots, Leach has to make a few more shots, and Gelo and KJ deserve more minutes.

I read and comment on all the forums. I make no judgement relative to whether others pay for the blog site. That's the way it's structure so that's cool. But someone(s) has to pay the freight so my choice is to help pay for the journalists here plus it gives me the opportunity to have a conversation with NU sports fans. I mentioned that the info was on The Rock earlier because it was a fact and many posters here are members there.

We aren’t going to win games when we have 2 starters both in their 5th year in the program that combined for 0 points, 2 Rebounds, and 1 Assist for a game.
