Rationale on the goal line strategy?

If the intention was to concede the game and take the loss, while enabling the offense to score a few points - it was perfect.
Otherwise it was pathetic.

Admittedly not quite as pathetic as the subsequent possession when we threw 3 passes from the Washington 1.
But by then, the offensive coordinator had already told the offensive line that he had zero confidence in them, so it wasn't that surprising.
The offensive line had showed him all night why he should not have confidence in it

Where we stand post-Washington debacle

C+? I think not!!!!!! We will need a B offense at the least against both IUs, Maryland, OSU, U of M,
and Illinois. Purdue is the only game where we can have a C+ offensive output and still expect to win.
Buddy, we arent beating OSU or Michigan barring major self-inflicted wounds by them. I’m talking to make a bowl with our “B/B+” defense although I’m definitely a little worried about our secondary.

Brady Koehler visiting NU 8/1-8/3

Well, in this kids case, he is graduating from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, where the team name is the Fightin Irish.
It happens to be Micah Shrewsberry's alma mater.
So, not a real shock that he'd take the Notre Dame offer.

However, I'd still put the NIL money, the playing time and the coach ahead of the Catholic aspect.

I'll just assume we were his 2nd choice (ahead of Iowa, Wake and Va Tech, obviously) and that Collins can snag him via the portal after Koehler gets in Shewsberry's doghouse.

Never said him being Catholic was the top factor in his decision; just another reason to pick ND

Brett Favre diagnosed with Parkinson's disease

Playing football doesn't cause people to get Parkinson's.
It only increases the probability.

Favre took a lot of big hits and played a long time.
Is that the silver lining?
