Three of them were walk-ones who are unlikely to ever start anywhere and the other three were formerly stars at places like U Mass who can return to that level of competition and probably once again see significant PT. Only one was even in the three deep at any position at INDIANA...Don’t know the details, so maybe I am being hard on Cignatti. What I do know, is I haven’t heard of any other school having 6 players bolting before game 5, and every team has players that aren’t starters.
In a boot for over a month does not seem like a minor injury. Hopefully he’ll be ready sooner than later.Barnhizer at volleyball match last night still in boot. Berry also there looked fine. And…….Ryan Langborg there with former teammates.
Still hoping there is an RL prayer that he can get eligible. (I know it’s a pipe dream!)Barnhizer at volleyball match last night still in boot. Berry also there looked fine. And…….Ryan Langborg there with former teammates.
It’s all wrapped up nicely in a single thread. No clutter. I think you’ll be okay.I can complain here too, because - out of consideration to others - I don't want clutter up the board with more things that are not about NU hoops.
It will beHopefully the wind will be blowing like crazy. We got a chance if they can’t throw.
Well he hit .375 in that series and threw a guy out at the plate. Strange way to cheat.Pete Rose and Joe Jackson are apples to oranges. Rose as manager bet on his team to win. Jackson and his crooked friends threw the World Series. Jackson in the HOF? I’d pick Joe Wallis, or any other honest ball player, ahead of him.
I don’t think anyone has given up yet but this game is absolutely the line in the sand. If our QB play sucks again we’re screwed.I can’t believe how so many around here have given up on this season and anointed Indiana as the 2023 Wolverines. This will be a close game.
I realize if IU pummels NU our resident IU poster and a flock of clinger on’s will be on here to roast me, but fear of looking foolish should completely remove any hope of improvements.
Pete Rose and Joe Jackson are apples to oranges. Rose as manager bet on his team to win. Jackson and his crooked friends threw the World Series. Jackson in the HOF? I’d pick Joe Wallis, or any other honest ball player, ahead of him.I originally put this on the gambling thread, before realizing there was a PR thread. It is ridiculous that Pete is not in the HOF.
Pete bet on his team to WIN when he was a Manager. There is no evidence he ever bet while a player or against his team. This doesn’t make it right for Pete to bet on his team to win, but let’s not treat it like he somehow impacted the integrity of the game. Baseball decided to wipe out 23 years as a player. The MLB all time leader in hits, in at bats. A 17 time all star, 3 time World Series Champ.
Baseball has a thriving relationship with Gambling sites right now. I guess it is ok when they are making money. The HOF is littered with players of questionable character including openly racist inductees. Get with it baseball, everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second chance. Stop the hypocrisy with Pete and Shoeless Joe.
Is there a student section?
I can complain here too, because - out of consideration to others - I don't want clutter up the board with more things that are not about NU hoops.Start a thread then. You can either complain or do something about it.
