I want the government to create a giant, rainbow-colored bubble around me so I never see anything bad.I want less government not more,
Like the vaping companies did?Not against sports gambling, but I am against online gambling. It should be limited to in person only.
Also can't stand how betting has over taken sports media. I think there needs to be better public education about how these gambling companies are using predatory marketing to attract new customers including minors.
The same poster(s), who ruined and skated on the rant board , posted some very offensive responses to another poster's opinions. NU's offense is simply unwatchable and negative posts are inevitableIt’s annoying, but a couple of our posters get REALLY upset by him, which is total chum in the water in the way my younger self understands.
I hate it because it means the sport is being destroyed before our eyes. This is hilarious and I love it.
I’ve never heard of Carl Reed, who self-identifies as a Wing-T expert.

I love everything about this story. Back in the good old days, these Vegas kids would’ve just shaved points, right?
I want less government not more,Tip of the iceberg or getting the wrinkles out?
From Jontay Porter to Notre Dame swim team: A timeline of sports gambling scandals since 2018

Yeah, it’s a temporary bump for sure. After he goes 4-8 again this year and then bolts, will applications go back to BAU? Who knows. We could look at what happened at Jackson state. Quick search shows enrollment is down since he left in 2022.Applications are up 20% in a post Deion world… but CU was averaging a 10% annual increase in applications for over decade, so at least half of that is endogenous to the school.
Would be interesting to see if the trend would hold on into the future if he stays this soft and whiny and doesn’t win, but nobody seems to think he’ll be around enough for it to work
Use whatever percentages you like. If Sagarin gives a 5% chance of winning a game, then you add 0.05 to the total. If it's 26%, then you add 0.26.If you use the Sargrin numbers the average is 20%. If you are going to do what you suggest you first have to take out the ones you really have no chance against. That leaves you with an average of 26% chance of winning each of the remaining games. That gives the potential of winning 1.56 additional games. Round up if you want but it puts the likelyhood at winning between 3 and 4 total games. Your 30% is high leading to the calculation of 2.4 additional wins putting us between 4 and 5 So you can either eliminate the 2 no chance games or use 20% rather than the 30%. number you are using are too high.
And you're obsessed with himHahaha. He is a bad coach.
I agree with you re the regulatory aspect. But the back door still exists: with legal marijuana there’s just as much illegal weed out there, it’s just cheaper. My betting friends still use their bookies. That’s usually the exact opposite of how it works: legalizing something typically takes it out of the weird back alleys. Why would big corporation fix something and risk their billions of publicly traded dollars? It’s not some scrub trying to rub a few grand together in South Bend, it’s guys in corporate America with regulators up their ass.
There’s been one point shaving scandal in the NBA already and not only did it get sussed out fast, it’s laughable what a pointless exercise it was. The shavers and the player made a couple hundred thousand over a couple years shaving prop bets and the player gets banned for life from a league that pays millions a year on average. Ridiculous deal! Legal and regulated is usually FAR safer in almost every field.
