Cats ready to prove doubters wrong in post-Boo world

Are you talking this season (starting in about a month) or next season (25/26)?
He has to be talking about this upcoming season. We lose Berry, Nicholson, Leach and Barnhizer at end of this season.

For 2025-26 we're currently looking at Martinelli, Hunger, Smith, Ciavarino and Windham... some guys like Mullins, Barkley and Clayton... plus the incoming freshmen and transfers. (at first glance thats a bit grim, but lets see how Ciavarino and Windham play as freshmen)

I'll be curious to see if Indiana can keep it up. I think this new coach has brought in an offensive system that has caught a lot of (somewhat mediocre) teams off guard. We'll see what some of the coaching staffs at the bigger programs they will play can do with several games now on tape.

As for their defense, I was not impressed at all. I think they will give up a lot of points against better teams. I wouldn't be surprised if our offensive outburst last Saturday was something of a mirage because Indiana's defense isn't very good. We'll see......

Well, I guess I trusted Matt Shelton to have the facts straight about the language being new...

Regardless, since you seem to be aware of the "enforcement" (or lack thereof), is there any criteria being used?
If you sell 50% of your tickets online does that trigger banishment? 75%?
Is there any rumor or instance where a season ticket holder has had his or her tickets revoked (without refund)?

Or is it just a scare tactic with no teeth?

No clue. Whether football or basketball I've never done the resale market. If I have tix I can't use I just give them away. I haven't heard anything from other STHs I know. Really has only been a concern with B-ball until this year.

I see no reason why this won’t be a quality team next year. Many high quality returning players including some all conference caliber ones.

Will he be able to compete to be in the top half of the conference and make a tournament? That I’m not sure about, but it’s definitely possible.

This has already been in place for a few years now...

How about it. I mean what's worse? An NU fan who sells their tix to opposing fans or an NU fan that doesn't buy tix to begin with.

I wasn't surprised by the number of IU fans. Lots of alums in Chicago and it's their best start in almost 60 years. To be fair the IU fans I encountered were very nice.
I had the same experience. The IU fans I met at the Orrington were very pleasant people both before and after the game. I met the parents of IU's excellent wide receiver, #19, who caught a touchdown pass, on Friday night at the Orrington. Dad was a defensive end at Clemson. They came back to the hotel bar after the game, not for a drink, but to tell me how much they enjoyed meeting and talking to a guy who graduated from NU 59 years ago. They were also quite interested in the fact that I was both a teammate and a basketball opponent of Fred Biletnikoff's beginning 70 years ago. The subject came up when I told them that their son might be a candidate for the Biletnikoff award. Freddie comes back to good old Erie Pa. from time to time, and the football field at Erie Tech is named after him. I knew him, however, from basketball. Freddie was a great example for a guy who was not the tallest (5'11") or fastest wide receiver, but he ran great routes and dropped a pass about once every 2 years. His high school team beat mine for the city basketball championship by one point.

Did I see that Caitlyn Clark was leaving the WNBA?

They don’t need a higher % of revenue, they need revenue to increase, which she single handedly does. All the players and media figures cranky about the increase in popularity over gatekeeping type politics are about to be shut up because she’s gonna get the paid over time.
Only 10% of revenue is put toward salary. They need both.

Could be worse? Tough times in Palo Alto.

To be fair, it was 100 degrees in Palo Alto on Saturday, and if any of you were at the game in 2019, it got extremely, uncomfortably hot in the stadium and everyone retreated to the shady concourse to get some relief.
