I gooled Northwestern Lakefront facility play sports and found this on reddit.



I remember watching MSU play Northwestern during the B1G soccer tournament a few years ago. The soccer field was on the lake and pretty much anytime someone tried to kick the ball downfield the wind carried. Literally the goalie couldn't clear the ball if they were kicking into the wind, it would hang up and come back to land ten yards in front of them.

I can only imagine punters and kickers trying to do anything playing next to the lake if it's a relatively windy day.

Thanks to LTP for making the Lakefront stadium happen (along with the auction to drive NIL). Rarely does a single, outside person have such a tremendous positive influence.

Oh, and let’s not forget Fitz for initiating the idea in the first place. Along with hiring Braun, he is the gift that keeps on giving even after his tenure.

I apologize for an off-top post, but I wasn’t sure where else to put this

I run a small real estate fund about 10min north of NU. We’re looking for a summer intern or two this upcoming summer.

I’d have a strong preference for NU athletes. Our budget is small, so it’s likely appealing to students in between freshman/sophomore year or someone really interested in real estate.

Is there a good place I can post a job description/more detail? Should I reach out to True NU?

The UConn guards are physically at a very high level and the difference to Purdue’s backcourt is enormous.

For those who were comparing Clingan as close to Edey's quality, if I dislike a team/player I might want to will something like that into existence, but in the real world, Edey is way, way above Clingan at this point.

Edey does continue to be coddled by the refs. That has not changed just because it's a final or it's UConn.

Well, I'm not much of a host. I invited everyone to join the WR pool and win a free subscription, and if UConn wins the final tonight, I'll win the title. But if Purdue wins, Kenn (Smelly) will capture the title.

However, because I'm such a selfless, magnanimous person, if UConn wins, I will decline my six free months of WR and pass it along to the runner-up, which will be Dale (Alaskakat).

So, to review:

- If Purdue wins, Kenn is the WR Pool Champ.

- If UConn wins, Alaskakat wins the prize but I get all bragging rights in perpetuity.

(And a special shoutout to @mshelton33, who set up the pool and didn't enter his picks, so he will finish with 0 points. It's supposed to be old guys who get confused by technology, not youngins.)
