Have we ever been at the top of the Big Ten West after four conference games, like we are now at 3-1? (The conference split has only existed during Fitz’s tenure).

Wisconsin, Iowa, and Purdue are all behind us at 2-1. We hold the tiebreaker over Purdue while Wisconsin holds one over Iowa.

Looking back to the start of Fitz’s tenure, I don’t think we’ve ever been ranked higher in the conference at this point as we are now.

Will this coaching staff rise to the challenge? Will our team stay healthy enough?

If the answer to both questions is “Yes”, is the Rose Bowl out of the question?

This is the first time we've still controlled our destiny after 4 conference games since the Big Ten split into divisions, basically that just means we have no divisional losses and at most 1 overall loss.

Getting to the conference championship would be a win in its own right. Facing Ohio State or Michigan again would be a good problem to have.

After watching some of Wisconsin and Iowa, Iowa appears to be the bigger challenge of those two.

But let's just get Rutgers out of the way and then we can figure out Wisconsin and Iowa.

Iowa hasn’t won any big games! Meanwhile, NU has beat two solid BT teams, almost beat Michigan. Purdue and Penn St will eliminate Iowa

Closest has been 2016, the only other year we started 3-1, but that year we lost to Nebraska in the first conference game and they were 4-0, before Wisconsin and OSU beat both of us in back-to-back weeks and Wisconsin took control of the division.

Funny how we are talking about both winning the Big Ten and also just being bowl eligible.

Frankly think it will come down to beating Minnesota to get in. That said Wisconsin is beatable and Iowa is doing very well against bottom feeders, but looked bad against Wisky.
