I think Schill's gummy kicked in just before the press conference.

Gragg said outright that he made the decision, after repeated conversations with Schill during the season. I suppose it could be that there was some cabal of trustees or powerbrokers making the call behind the scene and Gragg is just the puppet, but just writing that out makes it seem unlikely. So either what Gragg said is just not true or the people who said otherwise were full of shit. Either way I don’t suppose he or Schill as much as they flubbed the firing will get much credit for this decision.
