End of the Prime mystique

Colorado blew a 29 point lead to a terrible Stanford team, barely got by trash teams Colorado State and TCU, and got curbed stomped by a Washington State team on a 6 game losing streak. I don't care how well you recruit or work the transfer portal in the end you need to coach the game and Deion failed on that.

While I dislike how Sanders has treated players who were pushed out and immaturely clapping back on former players who have criticized some of his methods, don't think the university is complaining.

Record no of applicants, including from out of state.

Deion has denied it and it seems like we would have heard about all these transfers when it happened back in April.

Prime was on a network TV show yesterday pushing his new motivational book - "Elevate and Dominate". Always looking for a check.

I do hope Prime is still the head coach when we play Colorado in 2026 in our new stadium. I assume this thread will still be alive.

If he is, I will be shocked. That guy is beyond phony and is a very bad representative for Colorado in terms of how he treats young men. It has all been said before. Of course if he wins 7 or more games this season he likely will be back if he wants to be.

More like always wanting to have his name up in lights. Who would even buy it after his recent failures?

Colorado deserves it after what they did to Barnett. Have they even had a winning season since? I guess two. A 4-2 record in 2000. Only one of note is 2016 10-4 under Mike McIntyre and back to oblivion

For those interested, Shadeur has one song, “Perfect Timing”. It’s 2 minutes long, including about a 15 second outro.

He does an autotune-enhanced chorus maybe 3 times. Verses forgettable. Beat is melodic. Trash, but also probably better than Coach Neon’s record from the early 90s.
How’s it compare to Chet Haze?

I wonder if the CU president will suspend sanders for 2 weeks and then 3 days later decide to fire him.

Wasn’t his first team meeting about how none of them were good enough and they should plan to transfer?

An abusive environment is part of Coach Prime’s appeal! (And also why they sucked despite all that talent.)

Can’t make this stuff up. Unreal.

I saw the same tweet and wish I knew the original source. It’s hilarious. They’ve gone from a sh*tty prigran that nobody notices to a sh*tty program that everyone hates.
This thing went from "a new and extremely brash way to embrace the new NIL/semi-pro model of college football" to "very obviously just a grift for him and his 3 kids."
also Travis Hunter, I think.

Deion calls Travis one of his sons. No idea what the deal with that beyond monetary is, but that's what I meant. He's clearly the #3 guy as part of the party.

Original source is the site of a Denver sports yakker station.

An update to this in the Twitter replies may or may not make it better. After Shadeur scores they play his song instead of the fight song, but then the band plays the full fight song following the extra point. This is probably reasonable context.

Wild wild finish last night in Colorado’s return to the Big 12. 40-something yard completion from Shadeur to not-Hunter on the final play of regulation to tie it up. Then a TD and a forced fumble for a Colorado to seal the game. Colorado students stormed the field, then needed to clear off while the video review happened, then stormed it again. College is fun.

Baylor, up 7 and needing to only prevent a touchdown, actually rushed 5 on the game-tying score. Sanders was flushed left, and just got his throw off. Receiver made a sliding catch in the rain. He made the catch in single-coverage, with the help safety to that side of the field too late to make an impact.

I don’t even remember how Colorado scored in OT, but Baylor was headed in for the game-tying score when Hunter made a hit to jar the ball loose, probably 18 inches from the goal line. Ballcarrier landed in the end zone, and the ball rolled out the back.

Wild finish. Football is fun.

Sanders is a carpet bagger, he’ll be out of Boulder as soon as Hunter and his sons enter the NFL draft.

Don’t forget the Hail Mary throw and catch came one play after another Hail Mary attempt to a wide open receiver who had the ball doing right off his chest. Then they just DID IT AGAIN

Colorado simply refuses to not be boring or demand attention
