Can't believe all the love for Snell by the ESPN announcer without even mentioning that our Starting QB is also out.
Looked like he grabbed the ref's wrists in frustration (anger?) It's an automatic ejection, I think

The kid was coming off an emotional play where there was a borderline late hit on us. Should have he reacted differently? Maybe. But kicked out for that? Come on. That’s just wrong.
After the ref bent over him trying to help him up after not throwing a late hit.... .. the ref will be ejected from the NCAA forever. Worst flag ever. Sure to gain national news.

Snell was frustrated, he wasn't having much success against our D and got totally manhandled on that play. Grabbed the Ref with Gusto, your out. Refs have to protect their space.

Nah, every ref in the league would defend that decision. A 230 lbs athlete cannot be allowed to touch the ref.
That’s something football players are taught starting in pee wee football. You touch an official and you are gone. No exceptions. If he didn't Want the official’s help, he should have gotten up and walked away. The official had no choice.
But the kid clearly pushed the ref away. You cannot do that. Period. Its an automatic call.
It was a chump call on Shnell. His Uncle was a great back for the Jets. But the kid grabbed the ref. For that reason, he's out. Justified but tacky. It may cost NU because our whole game plan was "Get Shnell" and it was working. Kentucky will adjust and rely on their QB, plus their second team RB is good as well. But our defense should be solid all day. Alviti will have to do something though, just a bit, provided he doesn't turn the ball over. Could be Oliver 2.0...good play bad play.

JJ is playing inspired ball right now. My guess is he playing for CT and is channeling his deep friendship with his quarterback for inspiration.
