This year, NU had two players who had to retire for medical reasons before completing their degrees.
What happens to those scholarships?
1. Do they get to keep the scholarships for the full four years with all the benefits (tuition, tutors, books, etc.)?
2. Do these count against our limit of 85 scholarships?

I would hope that both of these players will continue on and get their degrees.

NCAA rules have a provision for medical “non-counter” which means student athletes can retain scholarships after medical retirement without counting toward the limit. I am not sure if that includes books and room & board.

1) Yes.

2) No.
