Yes , North “of”Isabella is an east-west street… guessing you mean 4-5 blocks north of Isabella.
Either way, that’s hilariously close free street parking.
You have to go 4-5 blocks North on Isabella to be safe.
You have to go 4-5 blocks North on Isabella to be safe.As an out of towner who comes in for a game or two a year, I have never had any issues parking. I go early as it's such a treat for me.
I usually parked in the blocks south of Central or west of the stadium, around Eastwood.
I am not the type of guy who sees signs saying you can't park 2 hours before or after a game and roll the dice. Are there areas without these? Is north of Isabella a safe area?
Thanks for any help. Will be there to see us beating the Huskers
It was Lehigh, I remember this because I thought he looked like an entirely new player and was going to be a big factor this season...turns out Lehigh just sucked.Hunger had a very good game against Lehigh? Pepperdine? Not going to look it up. That probably played a role, bought him quite a few games. Again, dude just looks confident, it's easy to believe he is just about to figure it out.
When I came in for the MD game, I parked at the Central St Metra station, there were plenty of spots there. As an out of towner who comes in for a game or two a year, I have never had any issues parking. I go early as it's such a treat for me.

Fitzmorris looked lost and out of control in his first few games played. I vividly remember CCC chewing him out for shooting a three and another wild shot of two in garbage time of an early non-conference game.Keenan has some offensive game, unlike Hunger, who cannot dribble and cannot shoot. With Keenan, at least there is the possibility that his offense and occasional shot block will offset his poor defense.
Fitz had a pretty lucrative contract. That mid-level B1G money would get us a very good coach (I still have hopes for Braun). That, plus the facilities, a supposed NIL boost (see portal this winter) reasonable expectations from fans and administration (i.e. average 6-7 wins a year and you're safe for life), makes it a good spot. How long have you been a Northwestern fan? What about this University makes you think that all of a sudden the school is going to put such a premium on football that they'd be willing to pay top of the market dollars to convince high priced coaching talent to ignore the limitations academics put on recruiting and to ignore the fact that we have such a small fan/alumni base that filling a 35,000 stadium with our own fans is a challenge from week to week? I don't think you've thought this out very well.

With Keenan, at least there is the possibility that his offense and occasional shot block will offset his poor defense.Based on the limited sample size, Keenan is a better scorer and scoring threat than Hunger. Maybe coach realizes how badly he needs to replace that missing 31 points a game? I think Keenan is also faster than Hunger and can jump a lot higher a lot faster (because he has no body mass, a defensive liability for a big, as we've seen), and may have better shot blocking numbers, I dunno.
There is a class of players that fall into the category of "the second best thing that can happen when he takes his first shot is that it goes in".Yeah it feels like the worst thing that happens is when hunger sees a couple go in the bucket. Seems to inspire him to start firing them up liberally for the next few GAMES.

IMO this gets to the concept of what is a "good shot". Every single player needs to take good shots. Any player that passes on a good shot needs to be benched. Now, what is a good shot for Michael Jordan is not the same as for Dennis Rodman. Just like what is a good shot for Berry is not necessarily a good shot for Clayton. Take Hunger as an example, if it were me, by now, a good 3 pointer for him would be with his feet completely set, with time somewhat comparable to a free throw. No shooting in the flow of the offense, coming off movement, plenty of evidence that's not a good shot for him. This makes some sense. The opposing team's scouting report likely says, "Clayton can't shoot. Defender should leave him for double teams and rotational help." If Clayton has an early, open shot, he should take it. If he happens to make it, then he creates a problem for the defense which now thinks it has to guard him for the rest of the game. If not, oh well. Generally worth the risk. Clayton did not shoot much more after that initial shot which makes me think it was a defined strategy rather than "selfish" as you so objectively called it.
I remember when he took his first shots last year commenting he looked confident and how that was promising.Confidently taking wide open shots is a good start.
