BREAKING: NU lands three-star Ohio TE Tyler Kielmeyer

while in general that might be true, we really have not seen much of that lately at NU. It seems like it has been a really long time since we have had a TE recruit change positions

The TE position has overall been injury-prone as well. Almost as if they were undersized for what they were being asked to do. Mangieri was stout but he had a 10 second 40. I don't know if this is true but if I was picking out a unit that needed strength and conditioning work that would be the one.

Bears filling in for the Mojo Moose

Hopefully the recent Bear Sightings will be as portentous of good things ahead for the Wildcats as the Moose have been.

At the beginning of last month it was a Brown Bear Encounter as this Grizzly came directly at me and got within an arms length with only a chicken wire-like fence separating us:

Then at the end of the month, just prior to departing China from Beijing and after having climbed the Great Wall of China and taking in the Forbidden City in Beijing, it was a Panda Bear that came up and approached me:

Finally this evening, back here at home, I was out watering the lawn in the front yard when a Black Bear walked in front of me, stopped and starred me down, and then began to climb the wall of the neighbor's house before climbing steps to a front door and then climbing back down before circling back.
Fortunately at that point, instead of coming at me, the bear turned and headed to a back yard. This time there was no barrier of any kind and the door behind me had inadvertently locked and I was without a key. There was no alternative than to stand my ground:

Northwestern could be 'a perfect match' for 2025 forward Tre Singleton

I saw the kid play against Lawrence North in the semi state semi finals. He scored 25 and was unstoppable. Though it must be said they were lucky to win by 2 when they trailed most of the game.

In the semi state final against Ben Davis and KJ Windham, he only scored 8, and, unlike the previous game, they led all game just to lose it at the end by 1.

Kid is very crafty. Uses his body very well. A bit like a shorter Ryan Young in his craftiness, though faster and basing his moves more on creating space with his strong body. He is not athletic at all.

I see him getting other high major offers. But not from a blue blood like Louisville.

BREAKING: NU lands three-star Ohio TE Tyler Kielmeyer

Recruitable tight ends are generally great athletes who can move all over the field.

I’m happy with three TEs and two QBs in every class, understanding that all might move elsewhere.

Give me athletes with good offer lists. Seems like all three fit the bill.

I have to believe there is a lot of people that even though they give to the athletics program generally, don't like the idea of giving to pay athletes directly. I don't make a dent in anything with what I give, but I have questions if I will even be a supporter at all in the future once player are getting paid directly by the school. I think I would rather see college athletics go in the opposite direction where there are no scholarships, and only people that want to school there actually play for the school.
I’ve heard this from several people actually and feel it myself to a degree. Bankrolling specific athletes would be essentially the minor leagues, officially. We will see where the proposed NIL legislation goes in 2025…
