Sully holds onto the ball too long he did at NU. He is also injury prone was at NU.
Coaching matters. Bajakian only won at NU when he had QBs who developed elsewhere. Ramsey was an Indiana QB for YEARS. Jake did not impress me much.Sully holds onto the ball too long he did at NU. He is also injury prone was at NU.

Either Iowa’s OL is terrible or their new OC does not know what he is doing either. Maybe both.
It is rare to have 3 QBs knocked out due to concussions by the 8th game.
There was a graphic showing that Sully and the other two QBs were knocked out (one by concussion; the other by a similar injury). That explains it. He did not look well, hope he takes plenty of time to recover.
The 5th string QB actually led a great long TD drive to tie it up with 2 absolutely clutch 3rd down throws to Gill but UCLA was lights out on O and D after that and keep the ball almost the whole rest of the game. In a small sample size he probably gives them a better chance to balance their offense with better passing.
Because Manhattan College (now University as of 2024) was originally in Manhattan. It moved to the Riverdale section of the Bronx in the 1920s. Also, Riverdale clearly thinks the Bronx is beneath them. The park to the east blocks it from the rest of the Bronx and gives the feel of not being a part of the Bronx. Yonkers is north of it, Manhattan is to the south and Jersey sits across the Hudson River to the west. In the mind of people from Riverdale, any of those places are better than the rest of the Bronx. It's sad they feel that way.
Barny is still not available and we still do not know when he is returning or if he will have lingering issues and he is the top rated guy on the team that is returning. Berry is returning from season ending injury and Nicholson just got back as well. That is the other three starters not named Buie or Langborg that are no longer here. It is not a slight. There is really no way to rate us higher at this point. Good news is by the end of the season this will all be worked out on the court. The (maybe catchy) title of my thread speaks to the fact that I am not that surprised, but I do think they are biased wrong. I mean - we were a sure Sweet 16 team last year if we did not have injuries late in the year. I don’t feel the loss of Boo/Ryan drops us THAT far down…but we do have to still prove ourselves to the media rather than get any benefit of the doubt, to your point and to our pre-season BIG ranking.
That explains it. He did not look well, hope he takes plenty of time to recover. He got concussed by a hard hit. They were showing him with his helmet off.
I fell asleep. Iowa’s offense looks as bad as it usually does. Sully made some nice plays
Quickly*A quick Lakeside Field must be one that was built quick?
The video screens have been taken down.(And apologies if asked-answered elsewhere)
Is it staying up over the winter/spring early summer?
I just wondered if due to security/liability issues it would be prudent to dismantle some/all of it and reinstall in July/August.
He got concussed by a hard hit. They were showing him with his helmet off.Iowa falls to the 2+ time zone travel curse. They kept cutting away to Sullivan who had a thousand yard stare every time. Wonder why they showed him so much, was there some drama? Is not like they were benching Arch Manning or something.
It was actually a really good game to watch, at least the 4th quarter. UCLA looked like a good football team, better than their early record.
