Are the coaches locked and loaded ready for the spring transfer window? Any leads on what may happen? (I am no longer a Rock subscriber, trying to save $).
Northwestern offered Davenport on April 12 and hopes to host him for a pair of visits soon.

Northwestern offered three-star OT Nolan Davenport on April 12. I talked to Davenport about the offer and the possibility of an unofficial to Northwestern this week.
At the future temporary home of NU football. It could be an Admiral Ackbar special, being sandwiched in between Maryland and Michigan, but I think the 'Cats are up to the challenge.
It’s been virtually non-existent. Far worse than the Fitz era. Highlights (although somewhat limited) were typically shared after most every practice across various social media platforms. I’ve seen very few (if any) thus far. Not sure if this is deliberate by Braun/Lujan or just another example of the inadequacies of the current athletic department. 🤷♂️

Wisconsin quarterback Nick Evers announced that he will enter the transfer portal.

Should we pursue this guy? On the one hand, he’s a former 4-star qb who has not yet proven himself in college, and we haven’t had very good luck in that regard recently. But on the other hand he’s potentially a dynamic player who could have a huge impact. Look at his Hudl video from high school. He was very good.
Since it looks like Berry, Nicholson, Barnhizer, and (hopefully) Martinelli are back, and there are no transfers in yet, who would you say is currently the fifth best player on the roster (assuming you think the four already mentioned are the top four)?
In a blast from the (recent) past, Jared Jones, who played at NU in 2019-20 and then went to Middle Tennessee State, is in the portal. I remembered him as barely playing at NU but then looked up his stats and he played 31 games that year and averaged 10 mpg (so only a little less than Luke Hunger played this year). Jones entered in the class with Boo Buie and Robbie Beran but has another year because he didn't play in 2021-22.
The Wildcats hope to host the three-star Louisianan for an official visit in May.

Northwestern offered Alexandria, La. running back JT Lindsey on March 19, and swiftly earned a place in his unofficial Top 5 and a probable visit down the road. I talked to Lindsey about the offer and his recruitment.
Alijah Jones out of Archbishop Spaulding HS in Maryland lands an NU offer via Coach Barnett. Nice to see him extending offers. Looks like Jones has a MSU offer so perhaps a previous relationship. I’m told by a reliable source that Barnett has a reputation as a strong recruiter. He and Hicks should be a nice recruiting combo for NU.
Buddy of mine left a message for the Wildcat fund to donate. Left a VM last week and no callback as of today. I guess money is not an issue or they have deployed resources to finding/planning for a place to play in the fall.
Northwestern football will play a majority of its games this season at the Lanny and Sharon Martin athletics facility near Lake Michigan on the University’s Evanston campus, keeping the team close to home as it seeks to build on its bowl-winning 2023 season.

Not an STH so didn’t get this email, but STH Rock brethren, please report your findings from practice! Awesome that they’re doing this. Login to view embedded media
A few months ago I had posted about Gragg possibly being our Bighead. (Ala Silicon Valley)
He's not, though there are some similarities.
I've come to the conclusion Mervyn is actually our Tim Beckman.
The guy who all the other AD's, all the other coaches and all the other fans hope will stay at NU as long as possible.
If the football scheduling fiasco doesn't make that clear (in addition all the other fiasco's) I don't know what will.
