Obviously, NU wants the double bye as a 4th seed.

However, is it better to be the 5th or the 6th? The 5th seed plays the winner of the 12-13 game, currently Indiana and PSU, while the 6th plays the winner of Nebraska-RU. Assuming that form holds and NE loses to Michigan, PSU loses @Iowa and IU loses @OSU, this is how the bracket will stack up.

If I'm honest, and NU doesn't get the 4th seed, I'd much rather be 6th than 5th. NU will beat a free-falling NE again, and I would actually fear RU more than NE.

Rutgers is the only BIG team that could damage NU's resume (in a head to head match up). Something to keep in mind going forward in the event the 'Cats lose to Purdue on Sunday.
