I thought I'd take our minds off of Polisky-Palooza for a moment and talk about the projected starting lineup for football for 2021.
As you guys might remember, I write the NU preview for Lindy's magazine every year. I just submitted the preview for the national version. (The much longer and more expansive version for the Big Ten issue is due in a couple weeks, and I'll post it here when I submit it.) But for this national version, we have to submit a probable one-deep. So this is what I came up with based on some, ahem, insider information.
Some of them -- like quarterback, right tackle and right guard -- have yet to be decided, and wide receivers will rotate like crazy and who starts doesn't matter much. But I think this is a pretty educated guess about who will trot out with the first team on Sept. 4 against Sparty. I think it's a pretty good lineup; it might be short on experience, but it's pretty long on talent.
Thoughts?
