is this the year?

There's hype? We're a 16-point dog.
We lost by 24 to Duke. 16 points against the #10 team in the nation at Camp Randall? I would call that hype.;)

In reality, we are going to find out more about UW today than NU. NU started the year concerned about our O-Line, DEs, and young linebackers. And in our game against a pretty solid Duke team, we have confirmed that we need maturation at all of those spots.

BYU appears much more weak this year than they have been in years past. But then, their competition could have made them look worse than they are. So, UW could be everything from overrated to underrated. We will know a lot more about them in a few hours.

Assuming the UW will have the advantage in the trenches, NU's skill position players will have to step up.

Even if the 'Cats manage to beat Wisky, will be difficult to see them winning the West unless the lines play better.

For us to beat UW, the lines will have to play better. So, if we beat UW, then our lines will be playing better and we will be in very good shape in the West.

^ There have been times where UW had the advantage in the trenches, but the 'Cats pulled out a win due to better play at the skill positions (primarily QB).

If Thorson can extend plays and Hornibrook throws an INT or 2 at key moments, then the 'Cats can steal a win.

Such a thing, however, is not a recipe for sustained success.

LB and O Line is where they have a lot of experience.

Transitive property sucks. Hope the Cats come out fighting and take it to Bucky.

Ah Duke looked very pedestrian last night vs. Miami. This one looks to be the toughest game on the Wildcats schedule, simply because it's on the road,

Things don't get much easier after today. PSU comes next. We might be 30 points underdogs to them. Especially if today's result is like a few years ago when Wis hit us for 70 points in that blowout when Watt dominated us.

Wasn't that the week after we left it all on the field against the bucknuts?

No. Our ol is actually non existent. Sad for JJ. He will break damiens record but i doubt he gets 500 yards. We are so so far away from contending for upper reaches of division.

Disagree. We are so far behind at one position group. We are much closer in most every other area than we have been in years. This team looks completely different with decent O Line play. Again, we have decent players on the O Line, they deserve help.

Our QB is going to get crushed again. How do we have decent OL? Our RBs cant get 2 yards and they arent goin to block for the ol. Every other position seems tolerable minus wr.
