It’s on YouTube. He didn’t say anything bad. Didn’t even give the passive aggressive “no comment” that you might expect.Anybody know when and where we can watch it? Hopefully he is lighting up the officials.
I was surprised Collins was so calm after the inadvertant whistle screw job, but let's not pretend he never screams at the refs. Remember @Purdue last year?Collins won't. He almost did that once after the Gonzaga screw job, but stopped short. He'll just continue playing the "nice guy" act with Big Ten officials...
- And they'll continue to screw NU season, after season, after season
- Fran McCaffrey once found the Big Ten refs in the tunnel after the game and screamed "You cheating motherf***er!" You're a f***ing disgrace!"... well, now Iowa gets treated fairly
- PSU coach Mike Rhoades has zero history in the Big Ten, he's two years in, and noww his team gets a whistle against NU like nothing I've ever seen
- NU suffered one of the craziest screw jobs I've ever seen in the closing seconds. What does Collins do? He remains docile and shakes hands. Well, I hope the nice guy routine makes him lots of friends. It doesn't get him calls
- Frankly, NU fans have to question: "If Collins doesn't care enough to get fired up and show some real emotion, why should we?"
I had thought that if they did wave off the goal tend it would still be a score. But if the whistle blew before it left BBs hand. And did it matter than BB was in continuation and was in the air the whole time. Important to know when the whistle actually blew and if there can be any continuation as there is for a foulmade mistake of rewatching the play-
Let’s forget the ridiculous no call on the REAL goaltend earlier.
Bit on the final play-
They messed up the play by calling a goaltend when they didn’t see one.
On the review-
BB had already released the ball when the whistle blew.
They also missed #14 hitting the rim with his arm which should have been a goaltend.
Eanet told Collins that he's "see him on the charter" during the post-game interview on WGNI don't know for sure but would be very surprised if they don't plan to stay on the west coast in between those two games. It's not coincidence that the road games were scheduled back to back. The Washington game looks to be at 9:30pm central on Saturday, February 8 (not March). If they flew back after that one, even on charter, they wouldn't get home until late morning on Sunday. Then they'd need to fly back to Oregon the next day. No reason to do that.
On the other hand, I'm guessing that NU will fly home late tonight after the game at Penn State and will then fly (or bus) to Purdue on Saturday in preparation for Sunday's game there.
Oh, I am sure there have been worse. Not manyThat was the worst officiating I’ve seen in any sporting event ever. There’s nothing even close.
That was the worst officiating I’ve seen in any sporting event ever. There’s nothing even close.is temporarily restored:
That game had two sets of rules: One for PSU, and one for NU. If there was ever a need for disciplinary action against a crew, tonight's game is Exhibit A. I don't believe in conspiracy theories, the Easter Bunny or even Bigfoot, but I believe we got completely jobbed by a crew that has no business officiating another B1G game.
WTF was that travesty of competitive sports mediation?
I have never seen so many fouls called away from the action. I have never such a disparity in what is permitted by one time and called on the other.
And the final call was a fitting and seminal clusterf@ck to seal our fate: Call a goaltend, then review it and wave it off, while also negating the putback. But at least we got possession! Thanks guys!

But what if the shot is blocked before the rim is touched?I think the rule is if the ball is in the air any touching of the rim is auto goal tending.
