Something’s different this year. Not sure what. They were taken out of the game when we went from one down with about 10 minutes left in the first half to down 19 five minutes later (I could add in the 6 point swing to MSU just before that but that means during that period we were outscored by 25 ) Doesn't give much to cheer about
YepBB is a talented basketball player, but he is not terribly athletic and he is not a very good outside shooter. That pretty much dooms his chances for the NBA I'd think.
What about Aubrey Fields (forever)?

Sitting throughout the game, West side on phones, and sections not filled up. Would take a photo but it’s too depressing.
If you can’t get up for this kind of game…
Gotta remember that Barnhizer was injured for a long while also, He missed the first 4 games and that was after being in a boot for a long time, It might have something to do with his 3 pt dropoff. Berry's struggles have been pretty well documented but Barnhizer has had his issues there as well. He just has so many other parts to his game that it gets missed26.3% from 3FG in B1G play is dead last in the league. I hope that it can't get any worse.
Looking at the team's 3PT performance against Tier A+B teams (kenpom) last year:
Player Games 3FGM 3FGA 3FG% Barnhizer 21 23 69 33.3 Martinelli 21 9 32 28.1 Leach 2 1 9 11.1 Berry 13 35 76 46.1 Hunger 19 5 25 20 Mullins 11 1 2 50
Aligned with you that 3FG gotta improve - if anything, just to create more space inside for our preferred paint attacking strategy.
Here's how we're looking Tier A+B in '25:
Player Games 3FGA 3FGM 3FG% Barnhizer 6 5 23 21.7 Martinelli 7 8 20 40 Leach 7 7 29 24.1 Berry 7 7 29 24.1 Hunger 6 0 5 0 Mullins 7 1 11 9.1 Ciaravino 6 7 16 43.8 Windham 5 4 16 25
Yeah, the kids are gonna have to help out with 3, or hope that Leach/Berry can find their form. I'm happy that Nick has stepped up his 3FGA and seems to have improved against top 100 competition.
The year we gave Magic and Kelser their last loss, I had the radio on with a huge hangover, unable to get out of bed. . . until we led at halftime. Dragged my ass up to McGaw Hall and saw the Cats take down Sparty. Something no other team was able to accomplish the rest of the year!Let’s see what happens after a few wins, assuming some wins come. The students have been excellent for the last two seasons.
A Sunday at 11 is an eeeeeeaaaaarly game.
What about Aubrey Fields (forever)?Jack Mitchell?
