Isn't this the point in the game where they can bring in the backup QB and hand the ball off every play? Obviously they're going for style points now.
Why? They're #2 in the country. A win's a win.
This is one reason why I generally prefer the NFL to today's college game. Up by 24 with seven minutes left. Run out the clock and take the W. This attempt to run up the score is classless BS.
They’re playing for seeding in case they don’t win in Indy, presumably against Oregon.
All right. Our defense is legit. Our best CB one of the better one's in the BIG and our best LB not playing today and they didn't give an inch. Made them earn every yard.
The O. Lausch I thought played well today. Looking better and better. Have to improve the OL as everyone knows. If they can do that our offense has a chance to be good which will up our D.

Cmon man. I watched tha game and OSU played several backups once it got to 31-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. - especially on the defense. The problem is that many of those 2nd and 3rd are 4 and 5 stars in HS and if don't don't get some playing time, they're going to hit the Transfer Portal. They have to let their players play. Jesus H Christ
Because of this, OSU substitutes as much as anyone in the country and their players - for the most part - are fresher-less tired than the other team at the end of the game

The second half of the game was basically a long television advertisement for OSU’s football program and eventual playoff appearance. The announcers gushed nonstop about their team and program.

So? Players want to play, especially many of the backups and 3rd stringers which they had in at many positions. What do you want them to do? If you don't like, effing stop them. And why not go for it on 4th down? Quit the whining. It's called football - not pussy ball

Well, to a degree I kind of agree that OSU wasn't trying to run up the score by playing many substitutes. You have to let these kids play especially at a school like OSU where most of the kids sitting the bench are 4 and 5 star players. They're going to transfer if they don't get a chance
