Northwestern (3-3, 1-2 Big Ten) hosts Wisconsin (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) this week at Martin Stadium. The game is set to kick off on time at 11 am, and will air on BTN. This is the last game of 2024 at Northwestern's temporary lakeside stadium.

Lausch has talent but that third down throw shows his lack of QB instincts

First deep pass they try, the NU DB has the coverage.

What happened to NU at 3rd and 4 to cause a TO??? Then to nearly throw an int?

We picked up 5 yards on that first turn for both teams. 😁

Celebrate the small stuff!

PBU by the stupid ref on throw to Henning

Where was the pass interference call on #6????

As soon as announcers say Akers was ST plaster of the week he gets his punt deflected

Not a good series after the interception, 3 and out. Our two top receivers dinged up on poor throws by Lausch.

Too many terrible throws by Lausch. He's now injured his top two WRs with errant throws.

Lausch is terrible so far. If they continue to throw might as well put in Wright.

Our receivers Kirtz and Henning are getting knocked around pretty hard by the Wisconsin defense. Too bad we couldn’t capitalize Coco’s interception. Battle of d’s so far.

Lausch is having a lousy game so far. Need to do better on first down. Long third downs are killing us.

Truly pitiful offensive performance in the first quarter. Wasted an interception, a great punt return and generally solid defensive play.

Feel bad for the defense but all credit to them, they’re giving it their all.

Notice how when Wisky’s QB was struggling their OV schemed some dump down passes to Walker? What has Lujan done??

When your offense can't do anything, you have to be perfect on defense and that's a lot to ask

The guy that bit on the RPO that lead to the TD was Noah Taylor… WTF

He had a clear opening on that second down to run for the first down. And don’t like the decision to kick that ball
Yeah, that was a lack of awareness by Lausch. 2nd and 2, and he easily could have picked up the first down. Instead, he forced a pass for an incompletion. The Cats then got stuffed in the obvious run play on third down and missed the long FG attempt. Frustrating.

It is not unexpected that our D under McGarigle is a definite step up from JON but a step down from the genius of Hank. That’s why we need a much more potent offense, we won’t be able to compete with many of the teams on defense alone (Oregon, USC, OSU, PSU, even Indiana and Nebraska).

At some point, we’ll just expect these plays out of Lausch. But for now, they’re just exciting. He a goodie.
